The vision of the National Education Policy 2020
1. Develops a deep sense of respect towards the fundamental rights, duties, and Constitutional values bonding with one’s country, and conscious awareness of one’s role and responsibilities in a changing world.
2. An education system that contributes to an equitable and vibrant knowledge society, by providing high-quality education to all.
3. Instils skills, values, and dispositions that support responsible commitment to human rights, sustainable development and living, and global well-being, thereby reflecting a truly Global Citizen.

Use of Technology In teaching and learning, removing language barriers, for Divyang students, and in educational planning and management.
Universal Access to Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE)
Foundational Learning Curriculum For the age group of 3-8 divided into two parts:
(i) From age 3-6 in ECCE and (ii) age 6 to 8 in class I and II in primary school
Preparatory Class Prior to the age of 5 every child will move to a “Preparatory Class” or “Balvatika” (that is, before Class 1).
Universal Access
For children of 3-6 years: access to free, safe, high-quality ECCE at Anganwadis/Pre-school/Balvatika
Multifaceted Flexible, multi-level, play-based, activity-based, and inquiry-Based learning.
National Education Policy 2020 Highlights
1. 10+2 is replaced by a 5+3+3+4 structure.
In the first 5 years, (PNC, NC, KG, 1st, 2nd) these are fundamental stages. This will reduce the burden of the bag. In the first five years, children will be given less theoretical knowledge. Children will be taught in sports, now more attention will be given to practical.
2. After that, classes 3, 4, and 5 will be taught about science, humanities, and mathematics basics.
3. Class provisions will be taken for skill development in classes 6, 7, and 8. Coding will be started from class 6th itself.
4. Class 9,10, 11, and 12 are for the Analytical approach and Goal Development depending upon the strength of student. Students can choose subjects according to their choice.
5. Private and Government both schools will have the same syllabus and rules.
6. The compulsion of English is removed. Regional Languages will be used to teach students up to class 5th. The focus is on mental development not on cram.
7. Open distance learning and Online Education will be Promoted.
8. Board Exams pattern will change under NEP.
9. NETF (National Education Technology Form) would be created in a bid to ramp up digital learning.
10. Single Regulators for all higher Educations institutes and MPhil would be discontinued.
11. E-Courses will be developed in 8 Regional Languages and Virtual Labs will be Developed.
12. Top 100 foreign colleges are allowed to set up a campus in India.
13. An "Online self disclosure-based transparent system" will be developed.
14. Extra-Curricular Activities will be included in the main activities.
15. Multiple entries and exit system with credit transfer
If you complete one year of degree courses, you will get a certificate.
If you complete two years of degree courses, you will get a Diploma Certificate.
If you complete three or four years of degree courses, you will get a Degree.
16. If you want to get a job, then you can do degree courses for 3 years, but if you want to go into the field of research, then you can do a course of 4 years.
17. If for some reason you want to drop out, your credits of semester done will be stored in the academic bank of credit.
18. Investment in Education will be raised from 4.43% of GDP to 6%.
